In my work I create a visual dialogue between the familiar and the fantastic. By weaving together elements of pop culture, mythology, and conspiracy theories, I invite viewers into a world that is both recognizable and disorienting.
Humor is central to my practice. I approach serious topics with wit and visual wordplay. I aim to disarm the viewers, inviting them past their preconceptions and defensive postures. In a cultural landscape often characterized by polarization, my work creates a third space where laughter becomes a bridge - a moment of shared recognition that can lead to more nuanced conversations about our collective mythologies and societal contradictions.
My work employs classical painting techniques juxtaposed with expressive, gestural brushstrokes, disrupting the illusion of perfection. This tension between control and spontaneity reflects the underlying themes I explore: the order we attempt to impose on complicated cultural narratives and the inevitable cracks in those systems.
Ultimately I see my work as an invitation rather than a declaration- an opportunity to question the narratives we consume, the beliefs we hold, and the cultural waters in which we swim. All while acknowledging our shared humanity through the universal language of humor.

Jade is a surrealist artist who radiates positivity despite—or perhaps because of—overcoming significant obstacles early in life. A 2021 graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design, she approaches the world with an infectious enthusiasm and an unshakeable sense of humor that colors everything she creates. What sets Jade apart isn't just her artistic skill, but her remarkable ability to transform difficult experiences into sources of light and creativity. She's fascinated by psychology, mythology, and pop culture, viewing them as windows into the beautiful complexity of human nature. Her recent development of a gestural, curly surreal painting style reflects her personality—bold, expressive, and unapologetically unique. Jade values humor and integrity above almost everything else, believing that laughter and authenticity are the best tools for navigating life's absurdities. She carries an endless well of creative energy and passion, approaching each day with the excitement of someone who has fought for the right to be exactly who she is. Her art is a celebration of resilience, but more than that, it's an invitation for others to embrace their own weird, wonderful, and sometimes chaotic journeys.
